Sickness

Can go to hell. As can the SAT.

I got my grades:
Psych: 4.0
English: 3.6 (God only knows what she docked me for...)
Genetics: 2.3 (which is good, because I expected a D. Science > me)

Sinks my average a little bit, but I'm done with science classes forever.

Lost has stolen my soul. I've watched 4 episodes a day for each day since monday.

If you'll excuse me, I have a date with choking to death on my own drainage.

If I Were a Woman, I would have Jack Terricloth's Babies.

So, remember those three big chunks of homework I had to do last weekend? Well, I ended up doing two of them thursday night and friday. I worked for 24 solid hours, with a break of an hour only to go into school to drop off a paper. But after that I got to go stumble around Broadway in a daze until I hung out with theater people at Dilettante. Happy birthday Zoe.

Mmm, cake.

Tonight I saw Born Dead, The World Inferno Friendship Society, Global Threat, and The Subhumans. Born Dead and Global Threat were decidedly meh, but Subhumans and especially World Inferno were amazing. Jack Terricloth has the most amazing showmanship of anyone I've ever seen. It was like he fed directly off of the combined energy of every member of the audience and channeled it into his every lyric and gesture. The rest of the band was awesome too, and I was pleased by the gender ratio (3 females, 4 males). I want to see them again. And again and again and again. Here is a song by them off the CD I just bought that I really like.

The Subhumans were really good too, but I wasn't really familiar with them. I wish I could have found the CD Zoe burned me of them and listened to it before I went, that would've made it a lot more enjoyable I think.

Mosh pit dynamics are an endless source of amusement, even (especially) when bands you don't like are playing.

Why the hell do crowd surfers like to jump off the stage backwards? Isn't that sort of asking to break your neck? Lots of the ones tonight kept almost getting their pants and shirts taken off. I was both disgusted and disappointed.

Is it wrong for me to get a sort of vindictive pleasure from the crowd surfers who never get caught after leaping off the stage?

Bathhouse camping trip. Ponder, imagine, love, spread. Goodnight.

Uninteresting Synopsis of Today.

Today I'm going to be boring (moreso than usual, anyway).

Whee. All the pesky annoying little things are out of the way for the end of the quarter- I have three chunks of work to do this weekend, and then I am done. Powerpoint presentations are a lot easier than I ever thought they would be . I should do them more.

My friend Katie came to school with me today. She couldn't come to psych or english, but she came to genetics. It was nice having a good friend to talk to, kind of rounded out the whole going to school on only 35 minutes of sleep thing.

After school we went shopping with Katie's newish friend Evan and his friend Chris. Both very, very gay. I sort of realized that I don't actually know many other gay people, at least not that I ever hang out with for a prolonged period of time. It was kind of refreshing. I feel like I came off as kind of weird, but all things (a.k.a. complete lack of sleep) considered, that's probably not so bad of a thing. It was a kind of strange dynamic, and there were many awkward moments, but all in all it was a ton of fun. I like hanging out with new people and people that I don't know very well. Making new friends is always nice, and I don't really want to let myself develop too rigid of a comfort zone again.

I have only one method of contributing to a shopping trip, apparently. I tell you what's ugly.

There is a bubble tea place in westlake! And it's good!

Getting abandoned by half our group so they could go watch a movie with some people we randomly saw was a little sad, but Katie and I had to leave soonish anyway.

Sleep? Hah!

Koffcoa. Day old coffee + cocoa powder + Kafka. Like a spine-tingle for your digestive track.

God I hate this week. Someone remind me to do my homework on time next quarter. Thanks.

Nifty

This is very neat. It's a picture filled with symbols that represent different bands. Sort of like a cross between I Spy and a music trivia game. There are apparently like 75 in there.

Here are some examples that I have found: Eels, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Gorillaz.

Rammstein is so much fun on +50% speed. It's like angry dance pop.

I'm becoming more and more addicted to myspace. and more recently, this. Mine can be found here. Go on, try it. You know you want to. conform.

Religion ruins South Park forever. Figures.

Caffeine is like drinkable sleep. I would not have a hope of survival without it. God bless its magic magicalness.

I can't think of anything witty.

Jesus is so awesome

All the cool kids are reading the second post down. You loser.

(the first post, however, is stupid and boring)

Hey all you Washington folks.

You all should sign this. Because it'll seriously take all of 30 seconds and is totally worth your time.

Well, now that Shaq Day festivities are over,

English presentations have been far more amusing then they should be allowed to be. I think the class has completely desensitized me to asinine time-wasting. Or maybe it's just that the two cutest boys in my class went yesterday and today.

Speaking of boys, they are icky and stupid and I hate them. So nyah.

Meta is over, I am saddened. It was quite a wild run. I feel safe saying that I have never before worked so hard on one play. I will never forget those costume changes, or our co-ed dressing room, or arguing with Gabe or being Midas or getting a cabana boy or the thing kayla got stuck on her tongue from the rock or finally getting to watch the storm scene or singing Mulan with Lily or our awesome oscar cast party or the uberpiggybacks or no one understanding what I was saying or Charlotte singing or the glitter or the water or or or or any of it.

I hate the last two weeks of the quarter. So much goddamn work. Not that I couldn't have done this all when it was actually due and had an easy end to the quarter. But, you know. Or do you?

I think that's enough for now.

Emo post!

Oh no!
